New ideas and technological challenges make modern devices shrink in size and increase functionality at the same time. The creation of new technologies requires not only the foresight of scientists and engineers, but also a unique infrastructure for the realization of their ideas. Pharmaceuticals, food processing, medicine, the electronics industry and a wide range of fields in science use clean rooms to monitor the work environment.
A clean room is an isolated space necessary to create the required conditions for production and research processes that are sensitive to external environmental conditions. The clean room is controlled by external and internal sources of particles (dust, microorganisms, chemical gases, etc.), pressure, temperature, humidity and even light (certain wavelengths are removed from the general spectrum). Separately it is worth noting the variety of technological processes that can be carried out in a clean room: etching of materials, photolithography, deposition of metals, etc.
The modern world can not do without a clean room. High-precision industry, chemical industry, medicine and fundamental science use properties and advantages of clean rooms. The diversity of production processes, sterility and climate control create ideal conditions for precision and ultra-small production. And the smaller and more complex technologies become, the higher the need for a clean room.
The course can be used for studying basic general education programs for pupils of the 10th-11th grades (the course "physics"), as well as for extra-curricular activities or additional education. The study of the course does not require special preparation.
